The Cathedral of St. Philip, Atlanta held a Ministry Fair 2012 on Saturday, March 10, where everyone was invited for "full day of fun, fellowship and learning." What was lacking was anything to do with the Christian Faith or even Anglicanism for that matter though other religions got prominently displayed.
The Fair advertised itself as having three workshop sessions and a wide array of topics to choose from. However a note was added saying that the following workshops had been CLOSED:
Session 1: CHRISTIAN FORMATION
ESSENTIAL ANGLICANISM
Session 2: BEING HUMAN SERVANT LEADERSHIP:
LEADING WITH SKILL AND SPIRIT UNDERSTANDING YOUR CHURCH AS AN EMOTIONAL SYSTEM
Session 3: LEADING THE CONGREGATION:
WEIGHING THE RISKS/REWARDS MYSTERY OF THE TREES WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A HOLISTIC CHRISTIAN?
They did have a "Gathering" speaker -- one Stephen C. Smith, Ph.D., research chemist in the Division of Parasitic Diseases and Malaria Center for Global Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta -- who gave a lecture on the part nets play in controlling malaria in sub-Saharan Africa.
They also had a photograph of other religions of the world displayed on banners. Christianity was discretely (of course) not represented.
