The arrest warrant, addressed to any peace officer, stated: "You are ordered to arrest and bring before a judicial officer the above-named Defendant (Heather Elizabeth Cook) as soon as practical and without unnecessary delay ..."

Bishop Cook was described as a 58-year-old white female, 5'7" in height with blond hair and tipping the scales at 250 pounds.

The collision happened Dec. 27 as Palermo was cycling through Roland Park. Church officials identified Cook as the driver of the car that struck Palermo. Cook left the scene in shock, but returned later, according to the church.

Cyclists rallied in support of Palermo, turning out by their hundreds to mourn him on New Year's Day and placing a white bicycle as a memorial near the scene.

Cook, who is currently on administrative leave from her post and the subject of a denominational disciplinary inquiry, initially left the scene of the accident, according to news reports and an account on the diocesan website, but returned approximately 20 minutes later, according to a statement from Maryland bishop Eugene Sutton.
The investigation into the accident is still ongoing, according to Baltimore Police spokesman Detective Howard Ruganzu.

A total of 1,391 presbytery members voted in favour and 1,153 against, resulting in a 54.6% to 45.4% split.

Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Stirling presbyteries all backed the proposals, while Falkirk, Kirkcaldy and Inverness were among those that voted against.

In West Lothian, 28 voted in favour of gay ministers and 29 against, while all 19 individual members of the Lewis Presbytery voted against the proposal.
