We stand by the statements in that communique, not least that which laments the absence of Your Graces from that meeting and of your churches from other instruments of the Communion's life.

The parishes whose petitions for rehearing are included in the Court's request are: the Church of the Holy Cross (Stateburg), the Church of the Good Shepherd (Charleston), the Church of the Holy Comforter (Sumter), St. Jude's Church (Walterboro), Old St. Andrew's (Charleston), St. Luke's Church (Hilton Head) and Trinity Church (Myrtle Beach). The petition for Christ Church (Mt. Pleasant) was denied in its entirety.

Diocesan Council ensured that our bylaws permit online attendance and voting, according to Florida Law.

The quora for both clergy and lay delegates were confirmed prior to and following each round of balloting at Convention and no objections or questions were raised.

The voting process, tallies and final result were fully audited and confirmed by independent, non-Episcopal auditors.

His letter was in response to a joint statement issued by the three Primates -- Archbishop Henry Ndukuba of Nigeria, Archbishop Laurent Mbanda of Rwanda, and Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba of Uganda -- in response to the Communique from the Primates' Meeting at Lambeth Palace, London, in March, which they did not attend.

He said "she put me in contact with Chilton Knudsen," a priest who at the time was a top aide to then-Chicago Bishop Frank Griswold and now serves on an interim basis as Chicago's primary Episcopal bishop.

In the decades since, Knudsen wrote curriculum for her denomination on preventing sexual abuse and became a "certified sexual abuse prevention trainer" in response to a clergy sex abuse crisis that has embroiled Protestant faiths as well as the Catholic church.

The Scottish Episcopal Church has allowed same-sex marriage since 2017. Church of England clergy have appeared to signal support for homosexual marriage after they rejected a bishops' report which said that only a man and woman could marry. Give it time and the CofE will roll over.
