"And women are the victims here," Stanton said.

"Trans politics is the new patriarchy. It is men telling women how it's going to be. It's the new misogyny. And in fact it's misogyny on steroids because it erases the feminine in any meaningful sense."

Sixty-eight percent of respondents suggested they were not voting simply due to a lack of interest, but 57% said they disliked all of the major options and 55% said none of the candidates reflected the views most important to them. Notably, 48% said they believe the election's outcome will be "rigged" anyway.

A teacher referred the girl to a school psychologist, who encouraged Brewer's mother to portray womanhood in a positive light and expose her daughter to strong female role models. The school psychologist also recommended Brewer join a group for children who struggled with communication, and these interventions helped set the girl on the path toward reconciling with her identity as a female.

"We are saddened by this approach to targeting Keswick Convention visitors, which we recognize also impacts others within the town," convention organizers told The Keswick Reminder on July 31, the day Brephos exhibited the banner with the image of the baby.
