The use of the word "again" or "flip-flops" in the headline chronicles the topsy-turvy tale of Azusa Pacific's policy regarding same-sex relationships. Until last fall, APU had on the books a student behavior policy that upheld a biblical understanding of gender and sexuality. Late in September, the school announced a change in its policies. The new policy would, for example, allow for openly-LGBTQ romanticized relationships among students.

You might think it's fair enough to ban people from offering 'therapy' to try to 'cure' people from being gay, especially if you take sexual orientation to be basically fixed and attempts to alter it as psychologically harmful. Certainly there are many horror stories, particularly from early 20th century psychiatric practice -- lobotomies, electric shock therapy and the like.
The Church of England's General Synod has voted and called on the government to ban 'conversion therapy'.
