The Episcopal Church in America is in the midst of radical Realignment
and Reformation. This year the call has gone forth to all faithful,
orthodox Christians in the Episcopal Church to stand together to build
the Anglican Communion Network throughout our country. On Saturday, October 16, I will host the first regional conference of the New England Convocation of the Anglican Communion Network (ACN) at the Providence Convention Center in Providence, RI. I want to personally invite you to attend this watershed event.

The conference, open to Episcopal laity and clergy, will bring
Bible-based Christians from all over New England together for one day
to form a plan of action that will be pursued throughout the region as
the Episcopal Church in the United States (ECUSA) awaits the outcome
spawned by the report of a special commission appointed by the
Archbishop of Canterbury.
The much anticipated report of the Eames Commission report is
scheduled to be released to the Anglican Communion Primates in England on Monday, October 18, two days after our New England conference. It is expected to contain the recommended approach of the Global Anglican Communion in dealing with ECUSA following the divisive actions taken by the U.S. church last year in the consecration of the Bishop of New Hampshire.
The gathering in Providence will focus on the mission of the ACN and
its forward movement in New England in the face of any recommended
actions. As you know, the ACN is a Biblically-driven missionary
movement of dioceses and congregations committed to the propagation of the unchanging Gospel of Jesus Christ and fulfillment of the Great
commission. Dioceses, parishes and individual clergy who join the
network are submitted to the historic faith and order of the one Holy
Catholic and Apostolic Church as received in Anglicanism.
As Dean of the New England Convocation of ACN, I will host the
conference along with volunteers from orthodox Episcopal parishes in
New England, the New England Chapter of the American Anglican Council (AAC), and the recently formed Concerned Episcopalians of Rhode Island (CERI). In my view, this conference embodies the first steps to bring traditional orthodox Episcopalians from all over the embattled Northeast together as the plan of action for the building of the ACN in New England takes shape.
We have heard a great deal about what is going on in the church and
the birth of this new orthodox mission, and now it is time to move
from words into action, thus our conference title: MOVING FORWARD
TOGETHER: FROM WORDS INTO ACTION.
Saturday, October 16 promises to be a day of Celebration . . .
Inspiration . . . Information, and above all Formation. Participants
in the conference will:
- Learn what is happening throughout the ACN as the Network’s charter
is recognized in the greater Anglican Communion
- Meet the new Pastoral Suffragan Pastoral Bishop for New England, the
Rt. Rev. Andrew Fairfield, Retired Bishop of North Dakota
- Hear testimonies of the faithful in the face of the challenges in
Episcopal dioceses, parishes and congregations
- Participate in the Commissioning of the Leadership of the New
England Convocational Council
- Receive a number of new church plantings into the New England
Convocation
- Prepare to return to individual parishes and dioceses equipped to
declare the mission and act as a missionary movement
The complete agenda for the Conference is being formalized now to
include worship and speakers from New England, other Convocation
regions in North America and from the worldwide Anglican Communion
including Bishop Fairfield, who is also a Trustee of the American
Anglican Council.
You can find full conference information at

to assist at the conference can also be found on the website. In addition, attendees will be able to register at the door beginning at 7:30 AM on Saturday, October 16. The conference is planned for 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM at the Providence Convention Center.
We will be keeping you posted on the full conference agenda as it
develops. I look forward to greeting you in name of the Lord Jesus
Christ in Providence.
Yours in Christ,
The Rev. William Murdoch
