A SYDNEY church website was yesterday hijacked with the message: "Hacked by Islamic State."

A graphic video, headline and message replaced the homepage of the Our Lady of Mercy Syriac Catholic Church, in Concord.

"We don't negotiate except with cannon, we don't have dialogues except with guns," the message read.

A gruesome video accompanied the message, showing graphic footage of victims being shot in the head, beheaded and even burned alive.

A church member said ASIO had been contacted over the hacking. However, an ASIO spokeswoman declined to comment on the matter.

Parish priest Rahal Dergham said the distressing hack angered the church community, the majority of whom are Syrian and Iraqi refugees.

VOL FOOTNOTE: In February of 2014, VIRTUEONLINE'S website was hacked by Islamic Extremists with similar messages that Islam will triumph around the world. Flashing images of burning cities were displayed and threats were made against me. We notified the FBI at the time and do not know if anything came of it. My webmaster was fortunately able to restore the website within an hour or so, but it left me shaking and with the feeling that VOL is being watched and monitored.
