IF MY PEOPLE and JUDGEMENT
VOL Note: This is not an endorsement of any political candidate or party. These two articles reflect a growing concern by many Christians that there is something seriously wrong in America. People are helpless and afraid. They fear a Trump presidency as they do a Clinton one, but for different reasons. VOL is not here to publish Jeremiads, but we are concerned that as a nation, the culture and many churches have embraced the darkness of pansexuality, abortion, porn etc., all of which corrodes moral character. There are two courses of action: repentance for individual and corporate sin, or failing that God gives us over to a depraved mind, so that we do what ought not to be done. (Rom. 1:18) In Jeremiah 18:10 it is recorded, "but then that nation turns to evil and refuses to obey me, I will not bless it as I said I would." God is capable of lifting his hand of blessing and protection and in time a nation will fall despite all its vaunted technology. Today the ruins of Mayan and Angkor Wat give witness to these ancient truths.

The If MY People movement was a significant part of the conservative effort behind the Ted Cruz campaign. The enemies of the cross are rejoicing over the Barabbas choice of Donald Trump, while we see the storm clouds of judgement blacker than ever. WE cannot find moral clarity and unity for God's laws, while at the same time, lawlessness and anarchy are breaking out in serious civil unrest. Our economy is a disaster sliding off the cliff.
There is a limit to how long the LORD will be mocked. There is always a day of reckoning for the people of God who have rebelled and refuse to return to Him. The handwriting has appeared on the walls of the White House and in the Supreme Court rulings. Like with Germany eighty years ago, America is now under God's judgement. WE are reaping the consequences of OUR departure from Christ and the future looks to become exponentially worse.
Is it too late for America to return to righteousness? Absolutely not, man's importunity is always God's greatest opportunity. But we who trust in our Lord Jesus Christ have to realize that judgement and repentance always begins in the house of God. Like our nation, WE the Church are a house divided. WE are a back sliding people who have divided the Church into thousands of pieces, while Jesus prays for our unity and the world laughs at our disunity.
WE, the Christians of America, do not accept the whole Gospel and have put our trust in men who have no fear of the Lord. Many have put their trust in antichristian leaders like Barak Obama and Donald Trump. Millions have joined the great falling away and are more prepared for the coming Great Antichrist instead of the Lord Jesus Christ. WE have forgotten the great promise of Jesus, "Behold, I come quickly" and ignore the mature prophecies of His soon appearing to those who love His appearing.
Let us not deceive ourselves. Our only real hope for America is for a movement of corporate repentance in the Church. It is time for us who identify with the 'If MY People' call of God the Holy Spirit, to go further on this theme. Where are the Christian Jeremiahs and Daniels? Yes, let us pray for mercy in the midst of increasing righteous judgments, but let us also pray for the coming of Jesus Christ and our preparation to see Him. Only then will true peace and righteousness cover the earth by the Prince of Peace and King of kings. Until then, the spiritual battle will get more severe, but the battle is the Lord's.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is calling us to be His witnesses, and He will empower us only as WE seek His face in repentance and prayer. There are NO shortcuts to being on the Lord's side. We only have Peace with God through Christ. As for me and my house we are standing firm for truth, righteousness and the Gospel of Jesus Christ once delivered. May the LORD have mercy upon us all and grant us true repentance for real revival.

CHARLESTON, W.Va.: Nearly 5,000 show up for Prayer Rally in Franklin Graham rally

Nearly 5,000 people packed around the state Capitol in Charleston to hear from Franklin Graham, the son of famed Christian evangelist Billy Graham. It was all part of Graham's "Decision America" Prayer tour. While he wasn't here to endorse any particular candidate, Graham's message was clear. He wants Christians to get out and vote this election.
We have decisions coming up for this critical election this fall," Graham said. "America is at a cross-roads. Who we elect to lead us is key for the future of this country, and I believe this could be the most important election, I know, in my lifetime."
Graham's visit just so happened to coincide with the National Day of Prayer, something Graham says the country desperately needs.
"What I want, first of all, is prayer," Graham said. "I believe in prayer, and the power of prayer. Our country is in trouble. I don't believe this country can be turned around without God's help. The republicans can't do it. The democrats can't do it. The only way it can be done is with God."
Graham says it's a Christian's duty to not only vote, but to vote for candidates who share their same Christian values.
"I'm not here to tell you who to vote for," Graham told the crowd. "I'm not going to do that, but let me tell you something. We vote. Alright. We vote and vote for candidates that stand for biblical truth and biblical principles who are not going to compromise. People who will live what they say."
Brian Ward was one of the thousands in attendance. He says he left his church in Harrison County early Thursday morning to get a chance to hear from Graham.
"The reason we're down here is to support the core values that we believe in, that the church believes in," Ward said. "Even though it's been a volatile political race, and there are some things that don't necessarily represent the core beliefs that we hold dear, we always have the hope in Christ that everything is in control."
Pastor Don Dye from Fairview Bible Church in Mason County, says it was a blessing to attend today's prayer rally.
"I heard the pastor this morning say it isn't about the white house, but more about God's house," Dye said. "And I think with Franklin Graham speaking today, we can truly see that it is about God and not the political rally that's taking place later today."
Graham says he's been surprised that thousands of people continue to show up to his tour, which will eventually reach all 50 states.
"They're coming here to pray," Graham said. "Because they, too, know that our country is in trouble, and they know their only hope is God. I'm encouraged that there were so many people here in West Virginia who, in the middle of the day, in a cold day threatening rain, that would come out here and stand-- some of them were out there for hours-- to pray, for not only this state, but our nation."
