Duncan drew a wide net saying that God isn't just bringing Anglican Christians together, "across the church people are re-embracing Scripture's authority. Christians are rediscovering the grace of our 2,000 year-old tradition."

Alluding to the Metropolitan Jonah's Orthodox outstretched hand to the newly formed church, Duncan said "that we are not as far apart as we thought."

Bumped into Rowan Williams representative yesterday. His name is The Rt. Rev. Santosh Murray, Bishop of the Seychelles (Indian Ocean). He told me that he is representing the Anglican Communion Office. A person who later bumped into him at his hotel noted that he was not too happy, grimly informing this person that he is here as a Pastoral Visitor from the Anglican Communion Office. Another person noted he looked lonely and felt sorry for him.

Over the years, thousands of priests have left the Catholic Church unable to handle celibacy, but they did so quietly without causing scandal, giving no offense to their superiors, and choosing to be laicized while still remaining faithful Roman Catholics. I have met quite a number and they are embarrassed and angry by Alberto Cutie's behavior. His celebrity status has only aggravated the situation.
