Episcopal Presiding Bishop Michael Curry has hired a law firm to conduct an independent investigation of the concerns that led him to place three members of senior management on administrative leave last week.

The firm is Curley, Hessinger & Johnsrud LLP, of New York and Philadelphia, and the work will be carried out by Michael A. Curley, the firm's senior partner, and partner Lindsay Vest.

The Curley firm has begun a review of the concerns that have been raised, and is expected to brief the Presiding Bishop about its plan for the investigation early in the new year.

Both Curry and House of Deputies president Gay Clark Jennings have called for "continued prayer for all those involved in this situation."
