GAFCON III: Jerusalem Archbishop urges GAFCON delegates to pursue "diversity and difference"
Ugandan Archbishop Reaffirms his province will not attend Lambeth 2020

The Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, Saheil Dawani, told delegates to GAFCON III that they should not walk away from those they disagree with, but to engage in "good disagreement" with their separated brethren.
Dawani, who had been banned from GAFCON II by Presiding Bishop Jefferts Schori and had Colorado Bishop Rob O'Neill looking over his shoulder to make sure he never came near the conference, greeted the 2,000 delegates meeting at the International Conference Center and welcomed them to his diocese, urging delegates to be a catalyst for reconciliation within the Christian community and the wider world.
He said his diocese was composed of indigenous Christians, whose members traced their lineage to the day of Pentecost. However, the Christian community had dwindled in the region from 27% in 1948 to approximately 1% in the Palestinian territories today. He said the Anglican church comprised 32 parishes and 37 schools and hospitals and played a significant role in the life of the community.
"The mission of the Anglican Church in Israel and Palestine was to be a bridge builder -- a pivot in relations between the three Abrahamic faiths".
Dawani, who was consecrated in 2007, said he had pursued a ministry of reconciliation in the pursuit of peace. The "city of Jerusalem" he added was the "key to peace in the region and in the world."
The archbishop was received with quiet response from the delegates. It is unlikely that Dawani will ever throw in his lot with GAFCON. He is seriously funded by The Episcopal Church.
UGANDA ARCHBISHOP NIXES LAMBETH 2020
The Archbishop of Uganda the Most Rev. Stanley Ntagali Primate of Uganda, reaffirmed his House of Bishops recent decision to cut ties with The Episcopal Church and the Anglican Church of Canada because of their position on homosexual behavior and says that he will not attend any meetings put on by Canterbury including Lambeth 2020.
"We affirm what we decided 15 years ago. We resolved as a HOB that as things have not changed we will not attend Lambeth 2020. Unless TEC and the Anglican Church of Canada is not invited and the Province of Brazil is not recognized as the 41st Province in the Anglican Communion we will not attend any meetings called by the Archbishop of Canterbury. We will obey Christ, the Bible and the apostolic faith. There will be no apology and we remain uncompromising."
