Grant: After I gave my life to Christ, there wasn't much else that I was interested in. I'd done a lot of courses for the BTh program already in my BA, and did a BA in Religious Studies, so I did an STM as my ordination degree and then went to Montreal Institute for Ministry for a year after that. I did an STM for two years and then the in-ministry year. Then I was ordained and went to Saint Barnabas in Pierrefonds [in Montreal].

The proposal is contained in a motion included in the agenda of the church's Provincial Synod‚ which will take place late in September. The agenda is being sent to dioceses of the church this week.

Announcing the proposal‚ Archbishop Thabo Makgoba of Cape Town said: "The motion‚ tabled by the Diocese of Saldanha Bay‚ proposes that any bishop of the church who wishes to do so may make provision for her or his clergy to provide pastoral care to those who identify as LGBTI".

The Party for Freedom posted photos and video of the incident on social media, claiming it was a demonstration against the church's support for Islamic leaders and multiculturalism.

The organisation has ties to Senator Pauline Hanson's anti-immigration One Nation party, which has won four seats in Australia's Senate.

"We were one of the break-away parishes from the Diocese of Va. that was sued by them and the national church. We settled on the basis of turning over our church building to the Diocese with a 5-year leaseback that gave us time to find a new church site and get one built," Stephen Price, Senior Warden told VOL.

The old church, built in 1878, sits empty.

Her 14-year-old son, who also cannot be named, was preyed upon by trainee priest Ian Barrack, in the NSW Diocese of Newcastle during 1998, the commission heard. Archbishop Herft was bishop of the diocese at the time

The woman, who was herself training to become a priest, said Barrack would buy her son presents including a wind-up toy figure of a man having sex with a sheep.

For all who had hoped that attendance at the January 2016 Primates' Gathering might restore godly order to the Communion, the results were clearly discouraging. Gafcon is fully committed to guarding the unchanging truth of the Gospel, and restoring the Bible to the heart of the Anglican Communion. In due course, the Gafcon Primates will take counsel and together make a decision about the wisdom of attending future meetings.

It is now perfectly clear that the meeting failed in its intention. Far from being rebuked, the leaders of the Episcopal Church said that they intend to continue in their present course and indeed to export their ideas vigorously to the rest of the world.

It seems, from what the Secretary General of the Anglican Communion is communicating, that repentance was never required -- which makes the disciplinary measures rather strange.

As a result of the new arrivals, the priest in charge of the White Nile Congregations in Finland, part of the Church of England's Diocese in Europe, finds his work growing. "Our church is fully engaged in many parts of this Nordic country in providing care, a spiritual home and pastoral accompaniment to the new arrivals," Bishop David said during a visit to Helsinki where he was confirmed a number of candidates at St Nicholas' Church.
