EASTON, MASS: Episcopal churches from Taunton, Mansfield, Easton unite
The three churches, St. John’s of Taunton, St. John the Evangelist of Mansfield and St. Mark’s of North Easton, have been in a “cluster” relationship since the early 1990s, sharing a priest and often gathering together for services during the summer months.

ISLAMABAD: Archbishop Welby arrives in Pakistan to support embattled Christians
Xavier William, of Life for All Ministries who is due to meet the archbishop on Wednesday, said the visit was a source of comfort at a time when Pakistan’s Christian community - and other religious minorities – faced unprecedented pressure.
“We are seeing that persecution of Christians has got worse here in recent years,” he said.
“So the visit is a positive thing. It’s a sign of hope but we will have to wait and see if it helps us in the future.”

TALLAHASSEE, FL: Members of St. Peter's Anglican walk to their new building
About 450 members (out of a total of 1,700) of St. Peter's congregation walked 6.2 miles from church's old home in the 900 block of Thomasville Road to the new, $12-million Gothic cathedral at 4784 Thomasville Road. Father Eric Dudley, the church's pastor, will hold the first service inside the 30,000-square-foot building on Sunday.

Memorial Day 2014
On Easter I attended an Episcopal church, All Saints in Boston's diverse Dorchester neighborhood, where we worshipped as we believe, with the classic traditional 1928 BCP. Youth was well represented in the racially-mixed congregation, putting the lie to the revisionists' boring canard that the traditional liturgy is only for "old white people." The classic 1928 Prayer Book, based on holy scripture, speaks to all people.

SAN JOAQUIN: Tentative court ruling favors Episcopalians in Valley
Earlier this month, a judge issued a tentative decision giving all properties and money to the Episcopal bishop and diocese. In a letter posted on the Anglican diocese’s website, Bishop Eric Menees wrote, “I understand that this news and its potential implications may produce feelings of concern or even fear for you. However, I urge each one of you to trust in the Lord. He will never leave us nor forsake us, and no matter the fate of our buildings, we will be victorious in him!”

The Church of Ireland is a member of the Anglican Communion. It has just under 400,000 members, mostly in Northern Ireland.

Apostasy case: Carey calls on British Muslim Leaders to back Christian Convert

CANADA: Anglican Church facing the threat of extinction
It points out that just half a century ago, 40 per cent of Vancouver Island's population was Anglican; now the figure is 1.2 per cent. Nationally, between 1961 and 2001, the church lost 53 per cent of its membership, declining to 642,000 from 1.36 million. Between 1991 and 2001 alone, it declined by 20 per cent.
Regular attendance is declining at all Canadian Christian churches, except for the Roman Catholic Church, whose small increase is attributed to immigration.
