The much anticipated report of the Eames Commission report is
scheduled to be released to the Anglican Communion Primates in England on Monday, October 18, two days after our New England conference. It is expected to contain the recommended approach of the Global Anglican Communion in dealing with ECUSA following the divisive actions taken by the U.S. church last year in the consecration of the Bishop of New Hampshire.

The former parishioner, Beverly Moore, complained about the man verbally and in writing to church officials from May 2001 until she was excommunicated in October 2002. She said she was removed from the church after openly refusing to take communion wine from Mack Swafford, a lay leader. Swafford was arrested Aug. 30 on child molestation charges alleged to have occurred between 1986 and 1990.

O'Neill is in London this week to discuss the tumultuous state of the American Episcopal Church with the Archbishop of Canterbury. He is the de facto leader of the worldwide Anglican Communion, which operates as 38 autonomous provinces.

Chaired by Dr Robin Eames, the Archbishop of Amagh and Primate of Ireland, the commission ended the third of its meetings in a series of "challenging" workshops without completing its report.

Further work will be needed before the final draft is presented to Dr Williams this month. The report is expected to make a "profound and practical impact" on the future shape of the Anglican Communion, a spokesman said.
