September 19 2019 By virtueonline A Message from Bishop Love Regarding the Recent Actions of the Title IV Reference Panel for the Discipline of Bishops

Now that the Reference Panel has acted, canonical timelines will be put in place, ensuring that the remainder of the Title IV Process should move much more quickly. It is my hope and prayer that God's will, will ultimately be accomplished whatever the outcome of the Title IV proceedings.

I appreciate so much all of you who have been holding me and the Diocese of Albany up in prayer. I will keep you posted as I learn more.

Bishop John Parkes was successful in obtaining a majority vote at the synod of the Diocese of Wangaratta on Saturday.

The regulation will allow clergy to conduct a blessing on members of the LGBTIQ+ community if they wish to.

"This is a difficult issue and people's conscience takes different views," Bishop Parkes said.

"My own view is that there's nothing in the Bible that understands the sorts of relationships that we are talking about, in this day and age."
